Our name is Charlotte Football Club, but we are bigger than one city. We were born an expansion team. We don’t believe in starting small. We only know how to go big. To play big, it takes all of us. About Charlotte FC

Charlotte FC is Major League Soccer’s 30th franchise and will begin play in 2022 at Bank of America Stadium currently undergoing a $50 million project that includes significant enhancements to the Lowe’s East Gate, an upgraded main concourse and supporter’s bar, soccer-specific locker rooms, a central player tunnel and a new premium club space and field-level seating. The team is owned by David Tepper, who was awarded the expansion franchise on December 17th, 2019. Charlotte FC is part of Tepper Sports & Entertainment, which also includes the Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Charlotte Football Club is committed to positively impacting our communities across the Carolinas through work that supports upward mobility, food insecurity and our military. These initiatives allow the club to offer access to free soccer & literacy programs; high-quality fields & mentorship opportunities; leadership training for high school students; as well as organize food distribution events and advocate for members of the military and their families.
