Description

The New Machine Inventory Coordinator 1 is responsible for purchasing inventory from Caterpillar, processing inventory accurately in all operating systems, validate logistics for new machines, process and reconcile all inventory invoices.

Essential Functions:



  • Models, promotes, and reinforces the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Orders new machine inventory from Caterpillar through ANTARES, CMOPS and RDE systems in DBSi, or web-based platforms and non-CAT vendors.
  • Utilizes Caterpillar applications to ensure availability of new machine inventory during the ordering process.
  • Researches and codes Caterpillar
  • Sustains inventory systems by updating new machine part numbers, locations, accounts, pricing, and availability.
  • Reviews all shipping and receiving documents to ensure current inventory
  • Validates new machine ship to locations; when applicable accrue freight and pre- delivery costs.
  • Maintains and reports daily shipping activity, ensuring accuracy when sale type records are reported to Caterpillar.

  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Computer and related software knowledge and/or (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc..)
  • Experience/Knowledge in generating Purchase Orders and maintaining PO
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Solid time management and organization skills, strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain
  • Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
  • Ability to use handheld devices such as barcode scanners or, measuring tapes and scales.
  • Ability to use arithmetic and algebraic skills to compute discounts, markups, percentages, multiplication, division, and fractions.


Education and Experience:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required; College degree
  • Experience preferred but not

None.

  • Up to 10% travel may be



Physical Requirements:



  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, frequent movement inside the office to deliver paperwork, check mail and greet
  • Occasionally required to walk out on the yard to take measurements or conduct equipment inspections.


Work Environment:



  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled
  • Regularly works indoors and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
  • May perform work in cramped spaces, awkward positions and/or high places
