Description Acara Solutions is partnered with our client in the transportation industry in Naperville, IL to hire an Electrical Engineer - Parts and Components.
Rate: Market
Duration: Temp to Perm, 90 day minimum
Hours: Standard M-F
As the Parts and Components Electrical Engineer, you will apply your electrical and electronic knowledge to design, verify and validate parts solutions when OEM parts have become obsolete. You will reverse engineer or develop obsolescence solutions, work on system overhaul proposals, and develop technical documentation for suppliers to meet FFF specifications and requirements. You will provide assembly/repair instructions, and new design drawings, develop all the required documentation, create or update engineering change orders, and review vendor technical proposals to ensure compliance with specifications and product safety.
You will actively participate and contribute to the aggressive growth of the Parts & Components business. You will support a customer outreach program to proactively generate business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
University or Technical College degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience as electrical engineer
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of rolling stock systems and components.
Knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment.
Proficient in the use of electrical/electronics design tools, MS Office, PDM, SAP, GSI, and Maximo (other ERP tools).
