Under the supervision of the Print Services Supervisor and the Director of Supply Chain, the partner is responsible for the daily operation of the production copiers and other related machines. The partner is responsible for setting up the equipment to suit the particular print/copy job request, the actual printing and copying and any finishing that is needed. The partner is also responsible for sorting and processing the mail.This position must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform print and copy services generated from internal orders, expertly operating the copiers and related equipment (paper drills, cutters, folders, creasers, laminators, collators, etc.).
  • Perform daily maintenance on copiers in order to maintain quality print production.oReplace machine components as needed.oMaintain proper atmospheric conditions for best print quality.oTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions (paper jams and service code errors).
  • Maintain high quality production using quality control processes.
  • Ensure form, quality, label and billing accuracy.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance with any and all mailing orders.oUse MS Word and Excel to merge, sort and print.
  • Apply Copyright and Trademark principles and restrictions to all print/copy requests.
  • Complete all required documentation to track jobs and productivity.
  • Provides editing and proofing support on various print and digital collateral including publications.
  • Maintain adequate supply of paper and related stock.
  • Store chemicals in proper containers and use only per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Prepare and print bulk mailings and direct marketing campaigns using supplied lists.
  • Prepare necessary postal documentation and package the job for transfer to USPS.
  • Maintain a clean and organized and safe workspace.
  • Retain adequate supplies for timely completion of duplication requests.
  • Place supplies in appropriate storage area.
  • Performs routine cleaning tasks as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent
At least one year of experience operating advanced and complex copy and print machines required.

Certification and Licensure

As driving a Mercy vehicle is required, applicant must have a driving record that is insurable under Mercyhealth's insurance coverage guidelines. Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercy's HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy. Position is subject to annual driving record background checks per Mercy's HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy. The Supervisor must maintain a valid driver's license.

Skills and Abilities
Very Good interpersonal/communication skills.
Demonstrated competency with standard Mercyhealth applications such as Outlook, MS Office and MS Excel.
Ability to effectively use applicable MMIS system.

Special Physical Demands

The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, and feel; Also, to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, stand, walk, or sit.
The heaviest items that need to be routinely lifted are cases of copy paper, which weight approximately 50 pounds. The employee would need to be able to lift the copy paper from floor to waist level on an occasional basis. Single reams of copy paper (approx. 5 pounds) are handled frequently.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Employee must be able to stand or walk throughout most of the work day.
