EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Master's degree in nursing education.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in nursing simulation and/or lab settings, recent experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Unencumbered RN License in Tennessee or a compact state.


Preferred Education and Experience



  • Five years' experience in Nursing Education.
  • Doctorate in Nursing or related field.
  • Previous experience with simuation-based education or high-fidelity simulations (high preference).
  • Simulation Certification.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Procurement of Lab and Simulation Supplies

    • Implement university standard operating procedures for lab and simulation supply procurement in advance of needs to ensure positive student learning experience in assigned region.
    • Maintain regional inventory of supplies and associate costs to meet budgetary expectations.
    • Collaborate with program and campus leadership to ensure supplies needs are met within procurement fulfillment timelines.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for campus inquires related to lab and simulation supply needs for assigned campuses.
    • Conduct needs analysis, in conjunction with budget process, to ensure that lab and simulation facilities are appropriately stocked to meet course offering needs in alignment with budgetary requirements.


  • Management of Lab and Simulation Inventory

    • Track university assets, usage, and depreciation modeling for lab and simulation supplies at assigned locations.
    • Coordinate maintenance and/or service needs for lab simulation assets with third parties for assigned locations.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for lab and supply asset maintenance needs for assigned locations.
    • Maintain updated list of needed materials for all lab and simulation needs by course offering as assigned locations.
    • Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and set-up of lab and simulation facilities for new or remodeled university facilities in assigned locations.
    • Provide regular updates on cost to budget analysis to university leadership.
    • Ensure consistency in lab and simulation supplies across all modalities and locations of the university at assigned locations.


  • Coordination of Lab and Simulation Learning Activities

    • Engage in weekly collaboration calls with lab and simulation faculty to ensure consistent approach in meeting student learning outcomes for lab and simulation in associated courses.
    • Evaluate lab and simulation activities through collaboration with faculty to design, implement, evaluate, and update lab and student experiences consistently at all university locations.
    • Review assessment data with faculty to facilitate continuous improvement in lab and simulation learning activities.
    • Coordinate with program leadership to ensure lab and simulation activities align with didactic instruction and meet course learning outcomes for associated courses.
    • Provide outcomes analysis for lab and simulation learning activities to program leaders and needed.
    • Coordinate staffing models with program and campus leadership to ensure consistency across assigned locations.
