Position Summary Position will support the day-to-day activities of the NYU Tandon Office of Records & Registration. Assists with the creation, updating, and maintenance of course and class data. Ensures data is accurate and updated in a timely fashion. Liaises with Tandon and NYU offices to address inquiries, and concerns. Resolves scheduling, student registration and records issues with professionalism and timeliness. Position works to proactively identify potential course scheduling or room assignments conflicts. Interprets and communicates academic, registration and enrollment policies and procedures. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area Required Experience: 3+ years experience supporting registrar functions, preferably in higher education, supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience: 1+ years experience in higher education supporting registrar function Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of students services principles and practices in areas such as financial aid, bursar, registrar, enrollment services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Course leaf Section Scheduler, Event Management Software (EMS) and 25Live. Understanding of FERPA regulations. Proven ability to apply current best practices in student record keeping; Skill and technical proficiency in electronic document management systems, student information systems, i.e. PeopleSoft and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; Ability to analyze and problem solve; Ability to plan for and meet deadlines; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders (excellent customer service); Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up; Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment; Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult or conflicting requests; Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, and colleagues. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $78,100.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
