Responsible for performing patient assessment preparation and monitoring for electrodiagnostic procedures using independent professional judgment. Operates maintains and troubleshoots associated medical devices/equipment. Member of the healthcare team functioning in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit various ICU settings EEG Lab or EMG Lab. Position Overview: As an Neurodiagnostic Technician in our EEG/Epilepsy department, you will play a crucial role in performing patient assessment preparation and monitoring for Electrodiagnostic procedures. Your responsibilities will involve operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medical devices and equipment associated with EEG, EMG, and Epilepsy Monitoring procedures. This role will require you to work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals in various settings, including the EEG Lab, EMG Lab, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, as well various ICU's.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program or an Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred Experience: 2 years of prior EMG/EEG technical experience preferred. Licensure: Registered as an Electrodiagnostic Technician by the American Board of Registered Electrodiagnostic Technicians (ABRET) or as an Intraoperative Monitoring Technician by the Neuro Intraoperative Monitoring Technicians Society required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs.
