Gilbane is seeking a Sr. Preconstruction Executive that will primarily sit in an office and be an integral member of the team on a daily and weekly basis, attend or delegate attendance at all pertinent meetings, and become the go to resource, which ensures cost and constructability considerations become an integral part of all design decisions and ensure no surprises in the areas of cost, schedule, and quality. It is inherent that the Sr Preconstruction Executive is recognized by the entire team as someone who adds true value to the process so they actively seek out the advice and concurrence of the Sr Preconstruction Executive.

Responsibilities

    Prime responsibility is management of the entire preconstruction process to ensure a design which meets the clients functional, cost, and schedule requirements without engaging in significant redesign.
  • Working through the Support Operations Manager and the Regional Operations Manager, the Sr Preconstruction Executive ensures that all necessary resources, both field and office based, are efficiently utilized for all: estimates, value engineering sessions, constructability and coordination reviews, schedules, project buyout, early procurement, permitting, and planning requirements to ensure a seamless transition into the construction phase.
  • This level of full service involvement will typically be focused on at risk projects.
  • Their ability to manage larger, more logistically or technically challenging preconstruction efforts.
  • Manage a variety of delivery methods (CMAR, D/B, IPD), as well has possess the business acumen to understand contractual instruments of service.
  • Ability to manage teams


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 10+ years of purchasing and/or construction experience in either Advanced Electronics, Life Sciences, Food and Beverage; Mission Critical or Data Center projects
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • In depth knowledge of design and construction practices and materials
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and stand up communication skills
  • Working knowledge of estimating, purchasing, and scheduling
  • Highly refined interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong planning and risk management skills

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

For Reno, Nevada this ranges from $173,800.00-$239,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Glastonbury, CT; Providence, RI; and Baltimore, MD this ranges from $182,600.00-$251,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Sacramento, CA this ranges from $191,200.00-$262,900.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Boston, MA this ranges from $203,400.00-$279,600.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Irvine, CA; Concord, CA and Los Angeles, CA this ranges from $212,100.00-$291,600.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For New York City, NY and San Jose, CA this ranges from $222,500.00-$305,900.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
