Job Summary Uses various class scheduling software and reporting tools to perform all aspects of class schedule building and maintenance in accordance with college, district, state, federal, and other accreditation agency policies and procedures. May work independently or in a team environment to identify and resolve class scheduling discrepancies and irregularities. Assists with preparing the academic catalog, serves as emergency back-up curriculum support for the department in an emergency or as needed, and may perform other duties, as assigned. Essential Functions 75% - Performs all aspects of class schedule building and maintenance including, but not limited to adding, modifying, combining, or cancelling class information, updating instructor teaching assignments and course fees in accordance with MCCCD academic scheduling guidelines, college standard business practices, state, federal, and other accreditation agency policies and procedures. 20% - Monitors and maintains class scheduling reports for accuracy and consistency, and disseminates information accordingly. Works with departments to resolve standard class scheduling discrepancies. Works with supervisor to resolve complex class scheduling issues. Works with supervisor and/or District Office to resolve class scheduling system irregularities or update reporting parameters. 5% - Assists with preparing the academic catalog, serves as emergency back-up support for the department, and may perform other duties, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution AND one (1) year of advanced program support involving program coordination, preferably in an educational setting. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. One (1) or more years' experience as a class scheduler or providing class scheduling support B. One (1) or more years' experience using SIS (Student Information Systems) or similar electronic systems to build schedules and assign instructors. C. One (1) or more years' experience using electronic reporting systems such as: Student Services Records Systems or Tableau to prepare and analyze data in report format D. One (1) or more years' experience using Google Workspace (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets, Drive) or Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel) E. One (1) or more years' experience working independently and in a team environment in a community college setting F. One (1) or more years' experience working with faculty or college administration Special Working Conditions
