Introduction to the job

ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. Oracle IT Business Analysts maximize the organization's investment in ERP software and processes. This position designs and supports solutions from across a variety of disciplines from finance to field service. It is our goal to avoid silos of knowledge and single points of failure. We expect our team members to know how the organization operates and how our software solutions manage that operation. This is an opportunity to teach and to learn.

The Oracle IT business analyst supports activities throughout our enterprise with more than 150 inventory organizations and 7 operating units in 20 countries. The role will support a 12.2.10 environment with more than 20 years of Oracle eBS growth and a substantial number of modifications, customizations, and integrations. Beyond Oracle EBS, the organization is also heavily invested in cloud applications from Oracle and other providers. This is a techno-functional role that can be the gateway for a developer to gain business analyst experience. IT Business Analysts collaborate with business stakeholders to design, implement, and support standard and custom solutions. Activities that this role performs includes, but is not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to decompose abstract problem statements into actionable work items
  • Communicate with domain specific subject matter experts throughout the enterprise
  • Elicit requirements and product features from non-technical teams through workshops, interviews, use case demonstrations, pilots, etc
  • Directing the work of external providers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues with assistance from external partners including but not limited to Oracle support
  • Act as liaison between internal customers and external partners
  • Arrange and support the rollout of software improvements and lifecycle upgrades
  • Orchestrate and communicate the rollout of new features and capabilities
  • Interact with network security teams
  • Assist in generation and interpretation of reports and analytics
  • Procurement of systems, services, and hardware
  • Infrequent but possible support of systems and teams outside of normal working hours
  • Flexibility to support teams/suppliers in disparate time zones
  • Transaction error resolution
  • Period end closing support
  • Programming and development within the Oracle EBS platform
  • PL/SQL, BI Publisher, Reports and Forms, ADF, Workflow, etc
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant focus.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience related to Oracle consulting, implementation, and/or analysis.
  • Programming and development within the Oracle EBS platform.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and read/write/comprehend PL/SQL.

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in one or multiple value flows such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Service to Revenue, Record to Report.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle EBS fundamentals including system administration.
  • Experience with some of Oracle's EBS manufacturing, finance, field service, logistics modules and associated database schemas. Some experience with inventory and discrete manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and read/write/comprehend PL/SQL.
  • Understanding of SQL*loader.
  • Strong English communication skills - both written and oral, ability to influence.
  • Comfortable in addressing large, diverse groups.
  • Highly organized and transparent.
  • Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.
  • Can learn and apply new information or skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.

Other Information

  • This position is located in San Diego, CA. It works on a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite/2 days remote. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan.
