Warehouse Manager

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a 3PL distribution or warehousing environment in a leadership role.
    • B2C fulfillment experience
    • Multi-client 3PL warehouse operations, business management and/or engineering experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related area.
  • Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
Responsibilites:
  • Responsible for the total performance and warehouse/service-related metrics, including cost control financial management of the P&L for the warehouse.
  • Set up and manage an account-by-account profitability tool to understand which clients are profitable and how to improve those who are not.
  • Effectively lead the workforce, through motivating and communicating effectively to achieve maximum results.
  • Reviews costs and service quality and modify order production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the warehouse.
  • Ensures compliance with service quality standards for each customer within the facility.
  • Acts as a local liaison in customer relationships, conferring with customers and representatives.
  • The Distribution Center Manager must be skilled in root cause analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement for both the warehouse and office management.
  • Suggests solutions and encourages a culture of problem solving in the warehouse.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, and total warehouse facility expenses.
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining associates.
  • Evaluate and document an appropriate performance for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
  • Coordinate activities through planning with department managers to ensure the company objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Review daily order production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, e-fulfillment problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent customer delivery delays.
  • Manage staff to accomplish business objectives and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Performs other duties, as required.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
