Job Summary:



The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) is looking for a part-time (.50 FTE) enterprising HR Coordinator who can assist in expanding our HR support and services. This position does have the potential to increase FTE over time.

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day transactional functions of human resources for the Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) within the School of Medicine. This role assists the ACCORDS Human Resource Program Manager and specifically handles HR transactions, including hiring, funding distribution changes, leave reporting and auditing, as well as biweekly and monthly payroll allocations. Additionally, this position may support the HR Program Manager with projects such as updating remote work agreements and creating or updating online tools.

The HR Coordinator collaborates with the ACCORDS HR Program Manager to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the School of Medicine (SOM), ACCORDS, and the University of Colorado. This role requires providing excellent internal and external customer service at all levels and fostering strong working relationships between departments, SOM HR, and the Anschutz/Denver campus. ACCORDS is a dynamic and rapidly growing research enterprise, with an average annual growth of 20%. The HR Coordinator must be adaptable to the evolving HR needs while maintaining high-quality customer service for staff, faculty, students, and scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration/Leave Management - 20%



  • Process all aspects of biweekly and monthly payroll for ACCORDS, ensuring accurate data entry into HCM, timekeeping (MyLeave and manual forms), and reporting.
  • Audit HCM and database information for discrepancies and make corrections as needed.
  • Update monthly funding distributions for all Research Services Professionals before payroll deadlines.
  • Perform leave balance audits on a quarterly basis.


Recruitment - 15%



  • Create and coordinate ACCORDS job postings in CU Careers, partnering with University HR as needed.
  • Coordinate new applicants and route materials to the appropriate search committee chair(s) weekly for all open recruitments via Smartsheet.
  • Send communications to candidates as requested by the HR Manager and assist in closing out searches in CU Careers.
  • Coordinate interviews and provide support for hiring committees.
  • Track the processing of new hires to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.


Record Maintenance/Documentation - 10%

Assist in creating and maintaining ACCORDS staff personnel files

In conjunction with the HR Manager, review existing employee files, identify missing documents/information and follow up to complete files. Assist with migration of files to the OnBase encrypted file management system.

Miscellaneous HR Tasks & Occasional Duties- 5%

Help format and post new processes to the HR SharePoint page under the direction of the HR Manager; update announcements as needed.

Attend monthly SOM HR Meetings, takes notes and document updates

Attend quarterly University of Colorado HR Meetings, takes notes and document updates

Provide back-up support for other administrative positions as needed

Assist with administrative tasks as requested.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Intermediate Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, social science, or related field
  • One (1) year of professional level experience in a payroll or HR administrative role.


Senior Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, social science, or related field
  • Two (2) years of professional level experience in a payroll or HR administrative role.


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration, human resources, management, social science, or related field
  • Two (2) - Three (3) years relevant experience
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), or similar HR relational database system

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

Intermediate: $47,516 - $55,593

Senior: $51,368 - $60,100

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
