You will be responsible for leading complex accounting, financial analysis and reporting activities required to support enterprise accounting processes, leading projects and process improvements.
This role will be on the Operational Accounting Team and report to the Senior Manager, Accounting.

Position Compensation Range:

$84,000.00 - $139,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Prepare, coordinates, oversees and reviews the preparation of schedules, exhibits and footnotes in annual audited financial statements, quarterly and annual statutory statements, and specialized management reports for Enterprise leadership.
  • Review and approve ledger adjustments and reconciliations in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Ensure accuracy of all financial statements and management reports through high-level financial analysis and coordination with transaction processing units.
  • Oversee procedures to support internal controls and annually reviews these procedures accordingly. Document and monitor implementation of control design improvements. Communicate the results of internal control risk assessments and process and system testing to department management and divisional leadership.
  • Develop knowledge of statutory and GAAP accounting principles. Research complex statutory and GAAP accounting issues and applies those principles to new and unusual transactions.
  • Support internal and external audit staff with annual financial audits, and with audits of specific systems or operations.
  • Identify and lead process improvement department plans based on best practices.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating financial information.
  • Demonstrated experience managing/leading projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of, and demonstrated experience utilizing, complex concepts related to accounting and accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets utilizing complex functions and formulas.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, budget and forecasting techniques or internal controls.
  • Demonstrated experience writing accounting memorandums on complex accounting issues and business transactions and summarizing conclusions for a non-technical audience.
  • Proven experience in implementing process improvements, establishing scalable processes, and leveraging automation and technology.
  • Prefers experience with Workday.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major.
  • CPA preferred.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.
