Regional Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

This role is contributing to the Motion System Drives division in Houston, TX area.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Sales Execution - Maintain and GROW ABB's System Drives division's sales to market within the defined geography.
*Manage and grow existing System Drives' OEMs, System Integrator and named-accounts within the geography.
*Penetrate preidentified/targeted industries at the user level within the geography under guidance of Segment Management, get ABB specified, influence projects and react to opportunities until close.
*Collaborate with ABB Channel Management to develop local channel MOSD opportunities, contract negotiation, channel sales planning within defined geography.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR High School/GED and 14 years of relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering preferred.
  • Solid understanding of ABB products and their applications - ACS/DCS/DCT880 series; Module, Cabinet and Multidrive offerings - or similar experience with comparable product offerings by the competition.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
