Job Information

Florida International University invites applicants to apply for an Open-Rank Tenure Track Faculty Position in Human Neuroimaging with an emphasis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The ideal candidate would have an active research program that synergizes with the mission of the FIU Center for Imaging Science, a multidisciplinary research unit focused on understanding neural mechanisms underlying brain development, adaptation and learning, and response to disease. The CIS, which hosts a 3T Siemens Prisma MRI scanner, was created to build upon the rich portfolio of behavioral research programs at FIU and leverage advanced neuroimaging technologies, thereby expanding the scope of health-related research at FIU. Collaborative opportunities are available with FIU's Center for Children and Families, the Center for Research on U.S. Latino HIV/AIDs and Drug Abuse (CRUSADA), Research Center in Minority Institutions, the Brain, Behavior and the Environment Program, and the Institute of Environment.

Early-career candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or an MD with postdoctoral training and demonstrated evidence of or very strong potential for extramural funding and a solid record of scholarship in refereed journals. Mid-rank and senior candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or an MD and a strong record of publications and substantial active grant funding. Academic appointments will be determined based on the qualifications of the candidate, but may include FIU's College of Arts, Sciences & Education, the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, or the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Salary, start-up funds, and other considerations are competitive.
