Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.



Your areas of responsibility:

  • Research, design and develop novel thermal management and/or related materials.
  • Characterize and develop new raw material for prototyping next generation product portfolio development.
  • Lead and conduct key fundamental research and customer segment specific product development activities.
  • Provide product and manufacturing process optimization support, where necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, sales, marketing) to monitor product development activities at the customer level and review feedback to accelerate product improvements, where applicable.
  • Stay abreast of new research, industry, and intellectual property developments in thermal interface and/or conductive materials and related topics.
  • Collaborate/co-innovate with external partners - universities, research institutions and/or consortium working groups
  • Travel expectations: 10-15%, as needed.



Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Graduate degree in Materials Science or related field with
  • 2+ years of proven experience in thermal materials development, testing and/or materials characterization.
  • Strong proficiency and instrumentation experience with material characterization (i.e. thermal analytical techniques such as TGA, DSC, and other microscopic and/or spectroscopic techniques), synthesis and performance testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate technical requirements and details into enhanced customer value.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
  • Project management experience considered a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively (regional and global) in a global matrix organization with a dynamic work environment.
