Full time, flexible with hours(8 or 10 hour shifts) and days/evenings. Flexibility of what weekdays you work. Must include 1 weekend day shift/week (Saturday or Sunday).

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic recreation.
  • Plan, review and revise programs according to patient needs and professional trends in therapeutic recreation.
  • Develop and teach treatment programs to meet patient needs. Examples may include Tai Chi Chih, goal setting, community groups, etc.
  • Provide adequate supplies for patient treatment.
  • Maintain safety of patient and staff.
  • Clean and organize treatment space.
  • Document patient treatment goals and progress.
  • Provide leisure and community resources to patients.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary communication.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and goal setting.
  • Convey observations and changes to the team.
  • Participate in problem solving with regard to treatment planning.
  • Provide student education and evaluation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational and Leisure studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation required
• 0 to 2 years in a clinical specialty area or completion of a student internship in comparable setting required
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification preferred
