Product Analysis and Design Support
• Provide support for the analysis, recommendation, design and prototype of future software, system components, and digital products and data systems for use with current and emerging technologies
• Support includes: (1) interface with program management and system engineering offices to understand and document system requirements, (2) develop and provide trade studies, analysis and reports documenting future requirements and future technology needs, (3) analyze system level requirements and design system components, and (4) develop system prototypes and software
• Provide support for the analysis, recommendation, design and prototype of future software and components for use with current and emerging technologies as managed by the SAFe, Agile, Kanban, and/or Scrum processes and backlog
• Document the results of exploration as identified in the exploration backlog item.
• Ensure any prototype software meets the acceptance criteria defined in the backlog item, including full compliance with governance standards in use by the enterprise
• Provide product analysis and design support documentation

• Product Development Support
• Provide support for the development of current and future digital products and data systems software products, aircraft Systems Support libraries, digital products, and data systems
• Support includes: (1) architect and design software systems, (2) integration and test (3) configuration management, (4) quality assurance, (5) laboratory management, and (6) office network administration and data management
• Provide support for the development of current and future software and components as managed by the SAFe, Agile, Kanban, and/or Scrum processes and backlog.
• Ensure all software developed meets the acceptance criteria defined in the backlog item, including full compliance with governance standards in use by the enterprise
• Ensure all software also meets the quality gate requirements of the CI/CD pipeline in accordance with Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) Document
• Provide product development support documentation

• Technical Documentation
• Provide support for the development and management of technical documentation
• Examples of technical documentation include systems' plans, processes, reports, schedules, roadmaps, and white papers
• Support includes: (1) writing and editing technical documents to assure adherence to specific processes, (2) conducts research and interviews SMEs to gather information for incorporation into technical documentation, (3) analyzes target audience to understand preferred communication methods and improve documentation clarity, and (4) designs documentation to emphasize accuracy, clarity, conciseness, and tone
• May supervise computer programmers

• 10+ years of experience performing the duties described in the Job Description and Responsibilities

• 3 years' experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines - an agile DevOps workflow focused on a frequent and reliable software delivery process that is iterative, and allows DevOps teams to write code, integrate it, run tests, deliver releases, and deploy changes to the software collaboratively and in real-time
• 3 years' experience with Java, JavaScript, Containers, and Micro-services architecture
• 3 years' experience with SQL

• 3 years' experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines

• 2 years' experience with HTML and CSS
• 2 years' experience with Git
• Experience with Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent
• Experience working with the Agile software development methodologies and collaborating between self-organizing cross-functional teams to deliver value faster, and with greater quality and predictability
• Experience working as a Scrum team member
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening-for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
• Ability to work independently, self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Desired experience:

• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred

• AMQP (RabbitMQ)
• Java ORM such as Hibernate
• Java with Spring or Java EE
• Restful web services
• SPA, ReactJS/Redux

• WebSockets

Education:

MS or MA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree.

Clearance:

Condition of employment - must have a Top Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
