Position Summary

We are looking for a Benefits & Wellness Specialist to share their passion and expertise in benefits and wellness, delivering day-to-day support for TCW employees and our group benefits programs. Reporting to the Head of Benefits and Wellness, you will significantly contribute to TCW's employee benefit programs for both U.S. and international offices. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in HR on initiatives and projects, as well as interact with internal clients across the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our employees receive comprehensive and competitive benefits, enhancing their overall satisfaction and well-being.



Essential Duties

    Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, voluntary and wellness programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, providing clear and concise information.
  • Analyze and report on benefit utilization, identify trends and make recommendations for plan improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees during open enrollment and new hire activities, including the development of communication materials, updating benefits administration system, and conducting informational sessions.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Research and resolve member claims issues with carriers and brokers.
  • Partner with third-party vendor to administer the employee Leaves of Absence process in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party administrators to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation of benefit programs.
  • Assist in the development, design, and implementation of wellness initiatives to promote employee health and well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
  • Prepare and submit required benefits-related data, such as 5500 filings, nondiscrimination testing, and other state and federal regulatory filings.
  • Support administration of benefit programs for offices outside of the U.S.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and legislative changes, ensuring the company remains compliant with all relevant regulations.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years' experience in HR, including experience with employee benefit programs.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits regulations and best practices (COBRA, ERISA, HIPPA, ACA, FMLA, PDL, etc.)
  • Strong interest in the employee benefits field and emerging trends in employee benefits and wellness
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile large sets of data.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a complex professional services environment.
  • Experience administering leave of absence programs highly desired.
  • CEBS certification a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, data entry and computer work.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear.

Working Conditions: Work is in an office setting.

Travel: Mimimal, if needed.

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $90K-$130K. This is an anticipated range for the base salary only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
