Paralegal

This position is responsible for assisting the department with various international matters, in addition to general corporate and regulatory matters. The role requires the ability to prioritize competing priorities and projects as well as working well in a team environment. We are seeking a team member who can take initiatives and exercise appropriate judgment. Experience in the asset management industry and familiarity with investment funds is preferred.

The work arrangement for this position is hybrid with the requirement of working onsite 4 days a week.

Assist legal team with monitoring and maintaining various regulatory filing obligations of TCW's foreign licensed offices.
• Assist legal team with maintaining corporate formalities surrounding its foreign subsidiaries.
• Support legal team in all areas relating to its Luxembourg fund platform, including proof reading and basic document review.
• Assist with the implementation of the firm's Anti-money laundering policy, including responding to requests for corporate legal documentation from counterparties and assisting the compliance department regarding legal questions in surveys from clients and others.
• Assist with general corporate matters.
• Assist with drafting and filing certain regulatory filings.
• Assist with entity billing.
• Assist with Legal Department projects arising from time to time.
• Complete other projects and responsibilities as directed by the senior paralegals and attorneys of the Legal Department.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• 5+ years of relevant experience including experience working in corporate law firms or in-house legal departments required
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

• Highly organized with focused attention to detail
• Must work well in a team environment
• Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic

• Certified as Paralegal
• Previous investment management experience or knowledge in the industry
• International regulatory experience

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For NY/CA based position, the base salary range is $100k - $110k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
