Position Summary

As a VP, Fixed Income Product Marketing at TCW, your mission is to articulate our unique value proposition within the fixed income landscape across both public and private markets. You'll shape our narrative, introduce new fixed income products, and collaborate closely with product managers, sales teams, and other marketing functions. Leveraging your deep expertise in fixed income markets, liquidity spectrum, and the different investment vehicles, you'll create compelling messaging and effective go-to-market strategies. Moreover, you'll directly influence the product strategy and direction of our Fixed Income platform, collaborating with senior executives and will act as the primary contact for fixed income product marketing to ensure internal alignment and cohesion.



Essential Duties

    Vision and Strategy Development:
    • Develop a clear vision and strategic roadmap for TCW's Fixed Income investment platform.
    • Leverage your expertise to identify growth opportunities and position key products effectively.
    • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers (PMs) to align product strategies with business goals.
    • Market Research: Understand the competitive landscape and continuously track industry trends to position our products effectively.
  • Narratives and Messaging:
    • Craft impactful narratives and stories for each fixed income strategy across public/private markets
    • Translate complex investment concepts into accessible content.
    • Ensure consistency across all communication channels.
    • Oversee the creation of product marketing materials such as brochures, pitch decks, web content, and video content.
  • Distribution and Digital Channels:
    • Partner with distribution marketing teams to disseminate our narrative.
    • Optimize digital channels (social media, PR, search, etc.) to reach target audiences.
    • Monitor and analyze product marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns - iterate as needed to optimize for the future.
    • Provide the sales team with up-to-date tools and training on products, market trends, and client insights.
  • Go-to-Market Strategies:
    • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for new product launches and enhancements.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to equip them with relevant content and training.
    • Drive adoption through effective communication and client nurturing programs


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in product marketing or product strategy, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry
  • Proven track record in launching and positioning financial products
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of the asset management industry and its products
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Proficiency with marketing analytics tools

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus
  • Hold relevant licenses such as Series 7, 63, 24, CAIA and or CFA (preferred and a plus)

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For a CA & NY based position, the base salary range is $175-200K. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus

Benefits: Eligible for TCW's comprehensive benefits package.
