As a Lead Industrial Engineer, you will establish and maintain systems to implement Industry 4.0 practices, lean manufacturing, shop floor improvements, work cell relocations, and managing manufacturing capital projects. In addition, responsibilities include developing and maintaining manufacturing KPI's such as OEE, takt-time, cycle-time, capacity, standard hours, and value stream mapping.

The position requires individuals to be on-site so they can work with various manufacturing equipment, processes, departments, and personnel.

As a Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding, developing, and maintaining manufacturing KPI's such as OEE, takt-time, cycle-time, capacity, standard hours, and value stream mapping.
  • Developing and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Process Improvement which includes 5S, Visual Management, Rapid Problem Solving, Kaizen PDCA, Process Control, and Standard work.
  • Evaluating current manufacturing practices and identifying those needing improvement to improve the efficiency of each production process.
  • Enforcing and establishing quality control to reduce waste and scrap.
  • Developing and driving manufacturing analytics to evaluate and interpret data for leadership.
  • Evaluating tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.
  • Developing an operational plan to define capital expenditures to support activities and projects.
  • Driving strategic planning initiatives for manufacturing facility work centers and departments.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, mechatronics, or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment managing hourly / salary direct reports.
  • Have Experience in design for manufacturability, lean manufacturing, quality systems and SPC tools.
  • Have knowledge of OEE, takt-time, cycle-time, capacity, standard hours, and value stream mapping.
  • Have experience utilizing Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing initiatives in production is preferred.
  • To have a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $91,100.00 - $169,300.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes' good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation.
