Primary Location:

Ogden, Utah

SUMMARY Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers in the production of a variety of beverage products by performing the following duties.

* Implements operational procedures for activities such as verification of inventory and scheduling work assignments.

* Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.

* Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.

* Monitors line operation to ensure all safe guards and interlocks are operational and in use.

* Executes assigned production schedules.

* Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

* Interprets specifications and production orders to workers, and assigns duties for productions operators.

* Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and resource constraints.

* Takes a leading role in the creation of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

* Promotes changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of equipment, department, or work crews.

* Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

* Identifies shift production goals and quotas that meet plant production requirements.

* Takes a leading role in the creation and execution of plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.

* Maintains production performance records and documentation, which include production efficiency, yield and downtime reports.

* Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments on assigned shift.

* Performs accident investigations.

* Wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment.

* Wears Company provided uniform and presents a professional image to customers and the work place.

* Completes all required Food Safety and GMP training and demonstrates compliance on a continual basis.

* Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

* Directly supervises employees in the Production Department.

* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Provides basic set of hand tools.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
