Position Summary
The SVP, Data Analytics will be responsible for leading, influencing and driving a team to develop data driven products, services and insights internal and external to the Enterprise. In addition, as the data product owner, you will establish an intimate understanding of the enterprise's domain data and its consumers - assuring continuity of ownership of data and accountability of success metrics such as data quality, decreased lead time of data consumption and data user satisfaction. This role will be well versed in:
Strategic Data Product Leadership: As the lead data product owner, connect our business leaders to understand how to deliver value using data products, prioritizing data products will inform where to allocate data engineering efforts, data quality and metadata curation efforts. Data Discovery, Strategy and Architecture: Ability to discover and identify an organization's portfolio of data assets, data information, outputs, people and processes to build a product driven data strategy based on usage, customer satisfaction, etc. Product driven data strategy means we build out data capabilities to deliver specific business value via specific products, ensure high quality, end-to-end execution against a discovery and delivery road map for each of the key Triumph brands. Manage Data as a Product within Data Teams through Data Mesh: Partner and collaborate with subject matter experts (domain owners) to understand specific data assets, business meaning and data opportunities to further automate and drive value with our data assets. As the product data owner - formulate a good product concept, build it, and productize it with a committed service level agreement with key characteristics. Experience in helping various data teams unify and define potentially disparate information to achieve a feasible, valuable and usable outcome. Establish strong focus and commitment to data discipline and data hygiene. Strategic Thinking and Thought Leadership: Able to strategically articulate data insights and findings, capable of both high-level strategic thinking and hands-on ability to execute while being able to strategically articulate to executives key data insights and findings. Collaboration and Relationship Building: Collaborate with business, technology, user-experience, sales and marketing leadership to define features and functionality with an end goal of creating a best-in-class analytics department that reinforces our culture and the use of data to grow our business while mitigating financial exposure and risk.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Set the long-term data and analytics strategies in coordination with key business, product and technology leaders to develop a deep understanding of business and customer needs, as well as uncover potential opportunities. Work with the business units and in partnership with the Director of Data Governance and Architecture to streamline system architecture, data stacks and internal framework to support a central analytics function. Create and maintain the analytics roadmap(s) in support of the product strategy(s), business objectives, and achieving the company's vision. Build and manage high-performing, innovative analytics and business intelligence teams by hiring, coaching and retaining top talent that is well-versed in data, advanced analytics, data strategies and reporting. Partner with leadership and team members within the organization to identify and execute on analytics needs and gaps and create self-service dashboards and visualization tools. Proactively stay up to date and informed in business priorities, market conditions, key considerations and technology/automation to pivot analytics strategies as needed. Develop strong, collaborative and trusting cross-functional relationships across the organization and senior leadership team. Manage vendor relationships, partners and resources as needed. Work with other leaders across the Triumph enterprise to fortify culture, share best practices and develop a thriving analytics community. Lead the strategy for business intelligence in partnership with the business lines and IT. Improve performance metrics reporting to create real-time gap to goal visibility across all levels on the department/executive level. Analyze new market research tools and ways to leverage them to increase efficiency, accuracy, and insights gained that help drive opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
Master's degree in statistics, decision science or related field or equivalent work experience. 8+ years advanced analytics and quantitative techniques experience in a professional environment supporting business growth by understanding and predicting consumer behavior and machine learning. 10+ years leading a team of analysts and managing data products and services or experience in a data mesh environment. Expertise in reporting and database management platforms, including PowerBI, Tableau, Quicksight, Bigquery, Snowflake, etc. Strong business acumen, analytic skills and ability to link strategies and business priorities and initiatives. Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, high-growth environment with aggressive timelines.
