Your Role With Us: As a critical access hospital, the Salem West Valley Hospital serves the community in a unique way. Our Nurses work independently, as well as collaboratively, maintaining a positive, professional demeanor while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. You will be constantly challenged to think creatively about how to drive patient care results, stay updated on current trends and practices, and share learnings with the team and other health care colleagues. The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, quality healthcare to patients in various settings with a variety of acute and critical, medical, surgical and rehabilitation needs. ADN graduate with less than 5 years of acute care experience required to sign agreement to complete BSN or MSN within 3 years of hire. Note: Employees hired as an ADN prior to October 2011 are not required to obtain BSN or MSN.Minimum of one (1) year of RN Staff Nurse experience required, acute care RN Staff Nurse experience preferred.Acute care RN Staff Nurse experience preferred.Charge nurse experience preferred. Current and unrestricted Oregon license. Basic Life Support required.ACLS and PALS or ENPC need to be obtained prior to completion of orientation.Trauma Nurse Core Course completion when class available and assigned (within 12 months of hire).NIH Stroke Scale required within 6 months of hire.Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is an equal opportunity employer.
