Job Summary:

Execute efficient and courteous loading and unloading of guests, including ticket scanning, line control, and operating chairlifts, while adhering to safety policies. Role will be exposed to outdoors in winter weather conditions for duration of shift. Seasonal full-time and part-time positions available

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $18.68 - $24.28 per hour

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following: other duties may be assigned:
  • Provide top-quality customer service.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with friendly service.
  • Perform safety checks on chairlifts and maintain safety logs.
  • Understand lift mechanics: brakes, electrical systems, mechanical drives.
  • Assist with safe loading and unloading of chairs.
  • Communicate effectively with lift users and operators.
  • Maintain safe snow conditions on ramps.
  • Set up and maintain signs, fences, and mazes.
  • Monitor area for trash and safety issues.
  • Stay alert to surroundings at all times.


Competencies and Job Requirements:

Required:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and safety awareness.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Neat and clean appearance.
  • Punctual and team-oriented.


Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Prior experience with the public

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk, talk, see, and hear regularly.
  • Stand or walk for 90% of an 8-hour shift.
  • Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Perform occasional squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing.
  • Climb ladders and shovel snow.
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions.
  • Exposure to extreme cold, wetness, humidity, blizzards, and storms.
  • Moderate noise levels.
  • Use of various lift operation equipment.
