Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Two-year college program or equivalent combinations resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge or skills.
• Experience: 2-4 years' experience. Considerable previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
• Physical Demands: Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License upon hire.
• IMSA Traffic Signal Level II Certification at the time of hire.
• Must obtain Fiber Optic ITS Level I and IMSA Roadway Lighting Level I within one year of hire.

Peoria's Public Works Department has an excellent opportunity for an experienced traffic signal maintenance professional. We are currently recruiting for a Traffic Signal Technician Specialist to work with a team to service and maintain the City of Peoria's growing inventory of 140 signalized intersections.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• The willingness to adapt to new technologies and City specific standards.
• The ability to work within a team setting or carry out assignments independently.
• Possess advanced technical skills and specialized knowledge to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals and equipment.
• 2-4 years of experience in traffic signal maintenance or related fields (see Job requirements).
• The ability to work in extreme environments to service assets throughout the City.
• A great attitude, and strong work ethic to succeed in the Streets Division.
