This posting establishes and maintains a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching graduate Psychopharmacology, Neuroscience, Medical Science, and Psychology courses for the Masters of Clinical Psychopharmacology in the Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. By submitting your application, you will become part of an applicant pool. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions. The teaching load for this lecturer position is a maximum of 2 courses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval. Therefore, this posting does not necessarily reflect a current open position. The Department of Psychology will contact you if an opening matches your qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and lead a course integrating scientific and applied clinical aspects of the topic material to meet MSCP requirements for the state of Colorado and APA

* Lead class lectures, discussions, and develop assessments

* Maintain gradebook and assignments via Canvas

* Maintain availability for students via email



The MSCP program is the first and only in Colorado to help train psychologists in clinical psychopharmacology and the degree that may lead to prescribing psychologist licensure. It is an exciting and dynamic time in the department and we are looking forward to growing this critical health program.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

$2,000 per credit hour for MSCP courses which is $6000 for a 3 credit online graduate level course.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.




  • Education: Depending on the course, doctoral level preparation (PhD, PsyD, MD, DNP, etc) in the course topic (or closely related field) is required for didactic courses.
  • For clinically applied courses, proof of training, preparation, and/or licensure in the course topic (or closely related field) is required.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience: Teaching experience, particularly experience with online or intensive courses is desired.
  • Special Skills: MSCP degrees and/or licensure as a prescribing psychologist is desirable but not required.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Ability to teach online if required
  • Ability to teach adult, professional learners
