The basics of this position:

Performs duties necessary to provide daily maintenance of the interior and exterior of campus buildings; repairs lighting and electrical systems on roadways or walkways; builds cabinets, countertops, etc.; completes supply order forms; sets up equipment for classes.

What you'll do:



  • Provides daily maintenance of the interior and exterior of campus buildings: makes repairs on buildings and their components, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry and automotive repairs; paints campus buildings and campus fixtures or furniture; performs automotive refrigeration, plastering, and roofing jobs; repair plumbing system and replace filters when needed; may perform locksmith duties. Repairs lighting and electrical systems on roadways or walkways and installs new circuits or cables for new equipment; connects cables for personal computers or printers. Builds cabinets, countertops, etc.; removes and reinstalls walls as needed. Completes supply order forms when necessary. Sets up equipment for daily classes, including risers and staging. Make repairs on campus equipment such as gym washers and dryers, whirlpool and kitchen equipment. Maintain athletic equipment, repair bleachers, and maintain the campus swimming pool or campus vehicles. Assist Grounds during weather emergencies. Performs other job related duties as assigned


Education, experience, and other requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years full-time experience in general
maintenance work or as a skilled worker in one of the building or mechanical trades.
Valid drivers' license and insurance
