Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is one of just five Level1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and the region's first Magnet hospital and nationally ranked heart program at the Sentara Heart Hospital. The hospital sits on the Eastern Virginia Medical Campus which serves as the primary teaching institution. Sentara Norfolk General and the Heart Hospital offers Transplant Services: Heart, Kidney, and Pancreas. We are a Certified Stroke Center and the only Level 3 Epilepsy Center in the area.

About the role:

The Patient Experience Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for operations and success of the assigned areas of responsibility for Sentara Norfolk GH and the Heart Hospital. This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Coordinate the development of new services within these areas. Contribute to the success of the hospital through achievement of system, hospital goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • Healthcare experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Previous experience with Customer/Patient experience in a hospital setting highly preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications.
  • Experience with Press Ganey, designing, facilitating and developing materials for training highly preferred.
