Job Summary:



The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time pediatric otolaryngologist faculty member for its pediatric practice at Children's Hospital Colorado, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine's mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-qualified pediatric otolaryngologist to join the full-time faculty.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Clinical/OR service in the field of Pediatric Otolaryngology, with the primary location for this position being Children's Hospital Colorado/Briargate Outpatient Facility in Colorado Springs.
  • Faculty expectation for regular academic/scholarship/research activities toward academic promotion

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor:



  • Doctor of Medicine degree
  • Board Certified or Board Qualified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery

    • If Board Qualified, must receive Board Certification within 2 years of hire.


  • Board Eligible in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
  • Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license


Associate Professor:



  • Doctor of Medicine degree
  • Board Certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
  • Board Eligible in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
  • 4+ years of experience at rank or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license


Preferred Qualifications (all levels):



  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to develop a successful community-based practice

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor: $260,000 - $300,000.

Associate Professor: $270,000 - $325,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
