Faculty Part-time - School of Education (multiple positions)

General Summary of Position:

The School of Education in the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences seeks applicants for various adjunct positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. Courses available are at the graduate levels (i.e. Master's and Doctoral).

Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of the desired teaching area and commitment to inclusive, anti-racist teaching. The University of Massachusetts Lowell is committed to increasing diversity in its faculty, staff, and student populations.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):



  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education (ABD may be considered)
  • Experience in K-12 education settings


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior teaching experience at the college level
  • Prior experience with and online teaching and experience with Blackboard or other LMS systems
  • Ability to teach one or more courses in the following areas:



    • Organizational Leadership
    • Special Education (Methods, Assessment, Introduction)
    • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
    • Basic Quantitative Methods
    • Basic Qualitative Methods
    • Teaching Elementary Science
    • Introduction to Teaching
    • Family & Community Engagement
    • Sheltered English Instruction/Teaching Emergent Multilingual Students
    • Reading and Language

This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position.
