SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking inventory levels, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role involves monitoring inventory movements, resolving discrepancies, and working closely with supply chain, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Entering data in ERP (picking tickets, inventory adjustments, transfer and counting journals)
  • Ensure inventory levels and locations are accurate through regularly scheduled cycle counts
  • Inventory management - Ensuring and maintaining inventory location accuracy in ERP
  • Assisting with root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies
  • Participates in programs to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Supporting batch integrity by entering corrections in ERP
  • Ensure that products are correctly tagged, labeled, and stored in appropriate locations.
  • Prepare reports related to inventory levels, stockouts, or overstocking for management.
  • Perform inspection to ensure compliance with specified requirements during the 'in-process' stage of the process and for inventory parts.
  • Read instructions, drawings, specifications or sample parts / gauges to determine compliance of dimensions and tolerances of in-process work.


QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/Skills/Education)
  • Purchasing and Production - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other attributes for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods and services.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in record-keeping
