Position Highlights:

• Dedicated psycho-oncology suite within Supportive Oncology floor of flagship cancer institute
• Outpatient clinic within premier cancer research and treatment institute
• Provide psychiatric consultation and treatment of oncology patients
• Opportunities for subspecialty development
• Established integrated services with oncologic teams and steady referral streams
• Joining thriving Psycho-Oncology section of 20+ LCSWs, 2 Psychologists, 5 Psychotherapists, and RN/CMA support along with substantial support programs
• Psycho-Oncology administratively structured within Department of Supportive Oncology that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration with Cancer Nutrition, Cancer Rehabilitation (Neuropsychology), Integrative Oncology, Palliative Medicine, Patient Navigation, Senior Oncology, and Survivorship.
• Academic appointment opportunity with Wake Forest Baptist School of Medicine
• Academic (Heme Onc/Palliative Medicine Fellows, Psychiatry residents, and medical student rotations) and research time could be allocated. Weekly education and research meetings.
• Full-time weekday work schedule, 1 in 8 weekends - Virtual CL call coverage

Ideal Candidate:

• CL Fellowship training or Internal Medicine/Psychiatry background preferred
• Psycho-oncology or related experience preferred
• Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a collegial care team
• Comfortable with onsite and virtual environments
