Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

The Machining Technician supports daily machining operations by assisting machinists with machine preparation, material handling, basic machine operation, and routine maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for someone with foundational machining knowledge who is looking to grow their skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist machinists with machine set-up and preparation for production runs.
  • Load and unload raw materials, workpieces, and tools.
  • Perform basic operation of CNC and manual equipment under the guidance of machinists (mills, lathes, etc.).
  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, and specifications provided by machinists or supervisors.
  • Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to perform preliminary quality checks.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist in monitoring machine operation to identify basic issues and escalate to machinists.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by providing information or assistance as directed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.



Qualifications and Experience

  • High School degree or equivalent is required
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of machining concepts and equipment (CNC or manual).
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and basic measurement instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
