We expect our team members to be curious about new technologies, identify practical applications, and use sound judgment to translate these capabilities into better legal and business outcomes.

Please note: Interviews for this position are expected to begin in January 2027. Candidates will also be asked to provide a transcript reflecting their Fall 2026 coursework.

Given the size and scale of Koch companies, our legal and compliance professionals work across a variety of disciplines in the U.S. and around the world. Interns will gain hands-on experience and exposure to real-world business and legal matters. Opportunities may include:

  • Assisting with regulatory submissions and discovery document review
  • Supporting mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence, disclosure schedules, research, and agreement review

  • Drafting and revising contractual agreements, including confidentiality, supply, vendor, and licensing agreements
  • Partnering with other interns, legal and compliance professionals, business colleagues, and other capabilities on projects, presentations, and learning experiences
  • Traveling to Koch facilities to better understand the businesses and operations our team's support
  • Participating in and supporting Koch pro bono initiatives
  • Using GenAI and other technology tools to support legal and compliance work, while applying legal judgment, critical thinking, and appropriate validation to resulting work product.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve legal and compliance processes through technology, automation, data, or GenAI and helping evaluate whether those solutions create meaningful business value.

Interns will also have opportunities to participate in social events, volunteer activities, and networking experiences throughout the summer, including events with area law firms. These experiences are designed to help interns build meaningful professional relationships and expand their understanding of potential career paths both within and beyond Koch.
