Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
1 Ability to understand medium to complex Engineering drawings with GD&T; 1 CMM programming, execution, analysis using PC-DMIS 1 OGP SmartScope programming (Zip 250, Quest 600) 1 Keyence systems: VR-5000, VK-X1000, VHX profilometers 1 Structured light / white light scanning (GOM ATOS or equivalent) 1 Advanced GD&T; interpretation per ASME Y14.5 1 Optical comparators, digital microscopes, surface roughness measurement 1 Hand tools: micrometers, calipers, gage pins, height stands 1 3D model generation for CAD overlay and fixturing 1 Gage R&R;, MSA, process capability analysis 1 ISO 13485, applicable quality system requirements, cGMP documentation practices 1 Digital metrology software (Geomagic, PolyWorks, VG Studio) preferred 1 Strong Excel, Word, and trigonometry-based calculation skills 1 MS Word and Excel proficiency Roles & Responsibilities 1 Execute contact and non-contact inspections on medical devices 2 Write and debug advanced CMM and SmartScope programs 3 Translate engineer test requests into measurement technique solutions 4 Vet and validate drawings; advise engineers on GD&T; 5 Generate 3D scan data for CAD overlay and analysis 6 Record, report, and review measurement data accurately 7 Develop and revise inspection procedures with project engineers 8 Support supplier component validation and lifecycle investigations 9 Own lab equipment calibration, maintenance, and uptime 10 Train and mentor junior metrology technicians 11 Schedule work and prioritize against project deadlines 12 Occasionally handle biohazardous materials per lab protocols
Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 a year
