Looking for Class A Local Flatbed Driver jobs in Eldridge where every mile matters? This opportunity puts your driving skills to work transporting goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting the businesses and customers that keep the economy moving. Your Class A license opens the door - we make it worth walking through. What You'll Do Safely operate a Class A flatbed truck to deliver steel, plate, structural steel, and related materials. Perform local deliveries while maintaining on-time service and professionalism. Secure freight using chains and straps in accordance with DOT regulations. Tarp loads from October through March and during other weather-related conditions as needed. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate delivery and transportation documentation. Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations. Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations. Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 3 years. At least 9 months of recent tractor-trailer flatbed experience within the last 3 years. Experience securing loads using chains and straps. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Ability to maintain a clear MVR and meet all DOT compliance requirements. No DUI, reckless driving, or serious driving violations within the past 5 years. Driving Requirements Valid Class A CDL required. Current DOT Medical Card required. FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required. Must be at least 22 years old. Ability to operate an automatic transmission Class A flatbed truck. Local driving route with home daily schedule. Monday-Friday schedule with start times between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Overtime available after 40 hours worked.
