Position Title: Manufacturing Associate
Wage: $20.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS is hiring Manufacturing Operators to join a fast-paced production environment manufacturing paper tubes, cores, and protective edge guards! Daily duties include loading and unloading machines, inspecting products for quality, reading tape measures, using basic math, palletizing finished products, and preparing orders for shipment. Candidates must have sit-down forklift experience, reliable attendance, and prior manufacturing or warehouse experience. This hands-on role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work safely as part of a team. Experience operating industrial winding, cutting, or finishing machinery is a plus, with opportunities to cross-train and learn various production processes! Manufacturing Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all work instructions provided by supervisors and leads. - Collaborate with team members to complete assigned production tasks efficiently and safely. - Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area at all times. - Use measurement tools and testing equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall product quality - Be cross-trained and ready to assist in various job roles as needed. - Accurately complete required documentation, including Production Data, Machine Operational - Status Reports, Safety Checklists, Quality Assurance Records - Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety standards and housekeeping practices. - Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications - Load and unload machines - Palletizing product and preparing it for shipment - Maintain consistent and reliable attendance-punctuality is essential. - Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Manufacturing Associate Requirements: - Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, grip, reach, push, and pull with both hands and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. - Must regularly lift up to 30 pounds. - Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day. - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Must have sit-down forklift experience. - Must be able to read tape measure and use simple math. - Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. - Must have great attendance. - Familiarity or experience with the following machinery is a plus: Core and Tube Machines: Eberle Winder, Design Winder, Phoenix Winder, Rewinder; Edge Guard Machines: Edge Guard, Optima, Tape Machine; Cutting & Finishing Equipment: Slitters, Appleton, Mark Andy Die Cutter, Aztek; Additional Equipment: 130 McKinley, 131 HYCORR, 135 Apstar, 136 Marmatsu, 138 Marmatsu, 143 Latitude, 149 J&L, 150 J&L, 158 Tanabe, 1525 EM, 1527 A+, Bander/Unitizer.
