Position Title: Industrial Painter
Wage: $19.00 per hour Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm; 3:00pm-1:00am QPS Employment Group has a great Industrial Painter position available at a company in East Troy, WI. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Industrial Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, reports, and work instructions. - Clean, prepare, and condition metal surfaces and equipment for painting. - Apply masking and protective coverings to prevent overspray on surfaces and surrounding areas. - Select, mix, and prepare paints and coatings according to specifications. - Apply industrial coatings using appropriate painting techniques and equipment. - Paint industrial equipment, machinery, components, and related parts. - Disassemble, clean, and maintain painting equipment and tools. - Complete required production and quality reports. - Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality issues. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production processes and product quality. - Follow housekeeping procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations. - Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned. Industrial Painter Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Three to five years of related experience preferred. - Industrial painting, manufacturing, or coating experience is a plus. - Experience in lean manufacturing environments is beneficial. - Welding certification from a technical college is a plus. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. - Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications. - Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. - Self-motivated, organized, and dependable. - Ability to identify problems and apply practical solutions. - Commitment to workplace safety, productivity, and continuous improvement. - Ability to stand, walk, reach overhead, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed. - Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights. - Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, tape measures, T-squares, and other production equipment. - Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds. - Ability to occasionally lift or move heavier items, potentially weighing 75-150 pounds, with team-lifting assistance. - Ability to perform tasks requiring close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as adjustment of focus.
