Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $30.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Technician position available at a company in Jackson, WI. This is a 1st shift direct hire position. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery to support reliable operations and minimize downtime. - Diagnose equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues. - Perform minor equipment repairs and assist with more complex repairs as needed. - Coordinate with maintenance team members and external service providers on equipment repairs and servicing. - Develop and maintain working knowledge of plant equipment, production processes, machinery, and operating procedures. - Document completed maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities using basic computer applications. - Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient maintenance shop. - Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and readily available. - Follow applicable safety procedures while operating tools and equipment and performing maintenance tasks. Maintenance Technician Requirements: - Thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions. - Ability to perform preventative maintenance duties on equipment as required and maintains competent knowledge of equipment, operations and processes throughout the plant. - Capable of addressing minor repairs and coordinating more significant repairs with fellow maintenance personnel and/or external services as needed. - General computer use knowledge - keeps documents/records of all maintenance performed, as it occurs. - Able to meet the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to: able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time, squat/kneel, climb stairs/ladders, operating equipment/power tools, and able to grip/grasp/pinch and reach overhead, as require. - Assist in keeping our shop environment clean, organized and efficient, ensuring tools and equipment are in their designated places and ready for use. - Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.
