Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Specialist (1st Shift) to join the Electrical Infrastructure division in Concord, NC. Responsible for executing shipping and/or receiving duties according to established priorities. Completes ERP system receipts accurately and in a timely manner, while supporting P&IC with employee training and auditing process adherence. Maintains accurate records within ERP systems and prints product identification tickets for material tracking. Performs intermittent material putaway activities, including operating a forklift.

1st Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) casual OT

Hourly Rate: $22.75/per hour

What Will You Do?

Inventory & ERP Accuracy

  • Ensure all inventory transactions are processed accurately and completed within established timelines.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving, shipping, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Support cycle count activities and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor ERP transaction compliance and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain accurate item locations, inventory status, and material traceability records.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Assist Leads with inbound and outbound shipment coordination to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Schedule and communicate with freight carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Ensure shipping/receiving documentation is complete and compliant with company and customer requirements.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays or issues.

Training & Process Compliance

  • Train employees on shipping, receiving, ERP transaction, and material handling procedures.
  • Conduct periodic process audits to verify compliance with established work instructions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain standard work documentation and training records.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure proper product identification, labeling, and material traceability.
  • Support quality initiatives by identifying and containing nonconforming materials.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.

Manufacturing

  • Maintain and cycle count floor stock - using scales
  • Machines, tools and equipment used: pallet jacks, forklifts, ladders, vacuum loaders, scales, dryers, granulators, calculators
  • Materials used: Various assembly and packaging materials including poly, boxes, containers, screws.
  • Handle, stage and maintain flow of all materials to and from machines presses, assembly and packaging areas, rework areas and storage racks.
  • Use of various mechanical equipment and knowledge of job structure (building the products).
  • Move finish goods as required
  • All other duties as directed by the Supervisor

Education: High school degree or GED preferred

Experience: Minimum three months' manufacturing experience. Prefer fork-lift experience and data entry experience. Must have formal inventory control systems experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Basic reading and writing skills in English Intermediate Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel) and SharePoint Skills
  • Math skills
  • Work Keys Scores of Math 3, Locating Information 4, Reading for Information 3
  • Knowledge of ASI System, Matrix and NCR Database preferred
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to safely operate moving equipment properly without risk to self, others and equipment.

Able to work overtime when necessary
