Cone Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist with a primary clinical focus in Breast Oncology to join our growing oncology program in North Carolina. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who has a strong interest or expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer while also maintaining involvement in General Medical Oncology.

The physician will provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care within a collaborative health system committed to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary care, and improving access to high-quality oncology services throughout the communities we serve.

The Medical Oncologist will have a primary focus on Breast Oncology, providing comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and longitudinal care for patients with breast cancer. The physician will also participate in the management of patients with other solid tumors and general oncology needs based on practice and community needs.

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with breast cancer as the primary disease focus
• Evaluate and manage patients with other solid tumors and general oncology conditions as appropriate
• Develop evidence-based, individualized cancer treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, endocrine therapy, and other evidence-based treatments
• Coordinate multidisciplinary breast cancer care with breast surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, genetic specialists, and other members of the cancer care team
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor conferences and clinical discussions
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, survivorship, and ongoing care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives
• Support the continued development and growth of Cone Health's Breast Oncology and General Oncology services
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, navigators, and other members of the cancer care team

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology/Oncology
• Eligible for an unrestricted North Carolina medical license
• Eligible for appropriate medical staff privileges
• Demonstrated interest, training, or experience in Breast Oncology preferred
• Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• New fellowship graduates with a strong interest in Breast Oncology and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply
