HR Services Specialist

Bring your curiosity to work as our next HR Services Specialist.The HR Services Specialist supports payroll, benefits, compensation, payroll tax, and HR service delivery for U.S. and Canadian employees. As part of a centralized HR Services team, this role provides support through a ticket-based service model, ensuring timely resolution of employee and manager inquiries while delivering an excellent customer experience. The position serves as a key resource for benefits, payroll, employee data, compliance, and HR processes. While payroll processing is managed through Dayforce Managed Payroll Services, the HR Services Specialist is expected to understand and apply benefits concepts, payroll concepts, tax implications, and employee impacts to effectively support operations and resolve issues. This role will report to the VP of HR Services.

HR Services & Employee Support

• Provide support to employees, managers, and HR partners through the HR Service Center.
• Resolve inquiries related to payroll, benefits, compensation, employee data, and HR processes.
• Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
• Research and resolve complex employee issues, escalating when necessary.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and employee experience.

Payroll & Compliance Support

• Serve as a resource for payroll processes, employee impacts, and payroll-related inquiries.
• Analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and support audits and reconciliations.
• Review payroll reports and partner with Payroll Operations and Dayforce Managed Services to resolve issues.
• Support payroll tax administration, tax notices, and employee tax questions.
• Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 and T4 processes.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll, tax, and regulatory requirements for U.S. and Canadian employees.

Benefits & Compensation Administration

• Support health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
• Assist employees with enrollments, life event changes, and benefits inquiries.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits issues.
• Support compensation processes, reporting, salary changes, and annual compensation activities.
• Ensure accurate and confidential handling of employee information.

Systems & Reporting

• Utilize Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors, and HR Link to support HR transactions and service delivery.
• Generate reports, analyze data, and maintain data integrity across HR systems.
• Support testing, validation, and implementation of system enhancements and process improvements.

• 5+ years of experience in payroll, HR services, benefits, HR operations, shared services, or a related field.
• Experience working in a shared services or service center environment using a ticketing system.
• Knowledge of payroll administration and payroll tax fundamentals.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reporting, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while handling confidential information.

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused, analytical HR professional with experience in payroll, benefits, compensation, or HR operations within a shared services environment. Successful candidates will have experience supporting U.S. and Canadian employees, working with HR systems such as Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and HR Link, and utilizing reporting and analytics to drive accuracy and service excellence. Payroll or HR certifications (CPP, FPC, or similar) are a plus.
