Warehouse Receiving Associate

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow shipping, receiving, and warehouse procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse scanning systems.

Experience Requirements

• Previous warehouse, receiving, shipping, logistics, or freight handling experience preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience using barcode scanners, inventory systems, or warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required; certification training is provided.

• Ability to load, unload, inspect, and stage freight in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry smaller boxes and packages.
• Ability to work safely around forklifts, trucks, and warehouse equipment.

Job Duties

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming cargo shipments.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Verify freight dimensions, weights, and shipment information for accuracy.
• Label, scan, and track cargo using warehouse systems and scanners.
• Locate, organize, and stage freight for outbound departures.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Assist with the movement of freight throughout the warehouse.
• Support general warehouse operations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Participate in forklift training and certification as required.
• Provide dependable support during busy periods, including Saturdays.
• Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
