Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
COB Undergraduate Programs is home to the COB Undergraduate Advising Center. The Center consists of two associate directors, and seven assistant directs who provide professional academic advising to undergraduate students in the College of Business. We help prepare students to Think, Value, Communicate, and Lead.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Administrative Support Associate reports to the East Carolina University College of Business Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Student Success.
The Administrative Support Associate is integral to the daily operations and support functions of the Center and manages several critical administrative and student-facing workflows within the College of Business Advising Center. The Associate maintains an in-depth understanding of University and College policies, procedures, and information systems related to College of Business ( COB) constituents and provides administrative support to the Center's faculty, staff, students, and student workers. Responsibilities include maintaining staff calendars and coordinating scheduling needs; processing purchase requests and reconciling receipts and other financial transactions; supporting the intake and onboarding process for new students; managing critical Advising Center workflows; and managing a high volume of phone calls, departmental email, and other inquiries. The Associate also supervises two Graduate Assistants who support front desk operations, providing direction, training, scheduling, and ongoing oversight to ensure effective and consistent service to students and other Center constituents. The Associate regularly interacts with a broad range of COB stakeholders and serves as an important point of contact for faculty, staff, students, families, and vendors. This role requires strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively use a wide range of technical resources and University systems to provide timely and accurate support.
