Position Summary

SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager is accountable for leading a major Division operation responsible for ensuring approximately $330M of annual revenue/product is delivered to customers. This role oversees end-to-end operational execution across three OEM value streams: Pneumatics, Fuel, and Inerting, including planning, scheduling, production, facilities support, logistics, inventory control, and shipping.

SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

Provides direct leadership to Value Stream Managers, Production Managers, Facilities leadership, hourly team members, and dotted-line support functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead end-to-end operational performance across the Pneumatics, Fuel, and Inerting OEM value streams, ensuring delivery of approximately $330M in annual revenue/product through effective planning, scheduling, production, logistics, inventory control, and shipping execution.

  • Provide leadership to Value Stream Managers, Production Managers, Facilities, hourly team members, and cross-functional support teams, including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, Logistics, Sales, Applications Engineering, and Inventory Control.

  • Drive achievement of Business Unit, Division, and Corporate goals through strategy deployment, operating cadence, performance management, and disciplined execution within budgetary expectations.

  • Improve customer and business performance by focusing on safety, on-time delivery to customer request, turnaround time, quality, responsiveness, production schedule adherence, and inventory intensity.

  • Lead margin expansion and operational improvement initiatives, including cost-out projects, PI&R activities, Lean implementation, OpEx improvements, productivity gains, waste reduction, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction.

  • Build organizational capability and employee engagement through coaching, mentoring, training, retention, talent management, and individual development.

  • Represent the operation in Business Unit, Division, customer, and cross-functional reviews as required.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel up to 25%

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline is required. Advanced degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in Manufacturing, Operations, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing or operations teams in a complex, customer-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of operational performance metrics, including cost, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop people, manage performance, and build effective teams.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate operational decisions in the context of customer, financial, and strategic impact.
