Position Summary

SUMMARY:

The Aftermarket Operations Manager provides leadership for Parker Hannifin's Aftermarket operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and profitable execution for approximately $450M in annual revenue/product delivered to customers. This role is accountable for end-to-end aftermarket operational performance across planning, scheduling, production, shipping, quality, cost, inventory, and customer delivery. The position has P&L accountability for Aftermarket and is empowered to make business decisions on behalf of FSD, including strategic positioning decisions related to aftermarket opportunities.

SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

Leads direct reports that may include Value Stream Managers, Maintenance Managers, with dotted-line to supporting functions as applicable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Owns aftermarket strategy and P&L decision-making, including evaluation of opportunities brought forward by SSO and determination of whether FSD should play, reposition, or exit based on customer need, profitability, capacity, risk, and strategic fit.

  • Leads execution for approximately $450M in annual revenue/product delivered to customers, ensuring disciplined performance across planning, scheduling, production, shipping, quality, and operational controls to meet business and customer commitments.

  • Drives margin expansion through cost-out, PI&R, OpEx, COPQ reduction, productivity improvement, process discipline, and cross-functional actions that improve profitability, cost performance, and quality outcomes.

  • Serves as the primary operational escalation leader for SSO customer management matters and is accountable for service performance, including on-time to customer request, turnaround time, recovery planning, risk assessment, and customer-facing execution support.

  • Establishes inventory intensity and materials alignment practices that balance customer demand, service level, working capital, material availability, logistics execution, and operational flow.

  • Leads Lean, continuous improvement, and strategy deployment activities that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, labor productivity, operational maturity, and long-term aftermarket performance.

  • Provides people leadership and cross-functional operating rhythms for direct reports, hourly teams, planning, scheduling, engineering, quality, inspection, logistics, finance, and SSO, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, coaching, development, and succession planning.

  • Ensures compliance with Parker policies, business processes, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and applicable operational controls.

  • Supports strategic business planning, financial reviews, operating reviews, and customer-related business reviews as required.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel up to 25%

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline is required. Advanced degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in Manufacturing, Aftermarket, Operations, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing or operations teams in a complex, customer-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of operational performance metrics, including cost, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop people, manage performance, and build effective teams.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate operational decisions in the context of customer, financial, and strategic impact.
  • Experience managing aftermarket, aerospace, repair, overhaul, or high-mix operational environments.
  • Experience with P&L ownership or significant financial accountability.
