The Role:


Work Model: Onsite


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm; Saturdays as needed


Travel Requirements: Yes up to 10%


Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes


Reports to: Director, Warehouse Operations


Pay Range: Competitive pay plus bonus plan

Summary / Primary Role:


The position of Warehouse Manager has the primary responsibility of safely managing warehouse and office operations of the four facilities at this location. Through effective leadership in a fast-paced environment, the Warehouse Manager will ensure that supervisors, forklift operators, and office employees are fully trained to meet standards in all functions of warehouse operations, material handling and customer service. Acts as the first point of contact with customers and dispatch when problems arise.



What You'll Do:



  • Oversee the supervisor and leads to ensure daily operations are closely monitored and Odyssey's established employee safety requirements are met at the facility.
  • Ensure supervisors and leads effectively oversee daily operations, including:

    • Maintain Federal, State, local, and OSHA regulations, including regulations for personal protective equipment.
    • Track, record, and monitor the maintenance and inspection of operating equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
    • Document training programs attended by employees, as well as certifications received.
    • Follow company safety guidelines and procedures, including for the safe loading and unloading material.
    • Audit warehouse procedures and make necessary changes to guarantee that work instructions comply with safety standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Lead safety meetings and trainings, per directives from HSSE.
    • Track, record, monitor employee attendance, vacation, sick days and performance.


  • Ensure policy structure and documentation is in place to:

    • Adjust work procedures to meet customer demands, production schedules, workflow, vacations, etc.
    • Inspect material and note exceptions or damages for inbound and outbound shipments.
    • Supervise and assist in daily warehouse operations, including crane and forklift operation, product inspection, shipping, receiving, and storage. Ensure inventory transactions are accurately completed through scanning procedures.
    • Organize material and manage inventory within the warehouse.
    • Evaluate and recommend processes and procedures to ensure quality of service.
    • Ensure inventory and material is stored safely and blocked properly.
    • Complete daily paperwork and record data.


  • Ensure customer communication is prompt and professional

    • When possible, apprise customers of issues before they arise.
    • Answer customer inquiries in a calm and polite manner.
    • Escalate customer issues to the Director of Warehouse Operations, as situations arise.


  • Lead by example in all areas of warehouse operations.

    • Routinely follow safety and warehouse policies and manage employees to do same.
    • Coach employees if policies are not followed or unsafe behaviors occur.
    • Exemplify behaviors that reduce potential damage to materials.


  • Maintain responsibility for warehouse employee management and training. Train warehouse supervisor and leads to:

    • Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations in accordance with company policy.
    • Ensure skill progression is tracked so there is an understanding of when an employee has reached full training in warehouse operations, pin-setting, safety, etc. Provide bi-weekly updates to the Director of Warehouse Operations.
    • Oversee the documentation and communication to management for all incident, accidents, claims, employee disciplinary and performance issues in accordance to regulations and company policy.


  • Participate in meetings, and on committees as instructed or needed.
  • Participate in cross training, development programs and obtain any certifications as requested.
  • Participate in company training programs, safety events, company functions and meetings when requested.
  • Implement goals, standards and objectives of the division and for delegated employees.
  • Monitor and report needs for any building, equipment and tool replacement or repairs.
  • Develop and/or adhere to budgets and monitor to ensure expenses to not exceed.
  • Periodically audit warehouse procedures and make necessary changes to ensure work instructions comply with warehouse activities, objectives, and safety requirements.

What You Bring:



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role and environment is required.
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience with forklifts, over-head cranes, metal cutting devices, and handheld RFID scanners is required.
  • Microsoft Office literacy is required.
  • Previous experience with AS400 systems and OSHA regulations is preferred.
