About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Systems & Test Integration Engineer to support the development, deployment, and integration of advanced payload emulation and hardware test environments for next-generation space systems. In this role, you'll partner with integration, test, FPGA, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure mission-critical space hardware is successfully verified, validated, and prepared for deployment.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, deploy, integrate, and support payload emulation environments and special test equipment for spacecraft programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define functionality, interfaces, verification approaches, and test strategies.
  • Lead integration, troubleshooting, verification, and validation efforts for complex hardware systems.
  • Perform integration and testing of spaceflight hardware and payload systems.
  • Support FPGA implementation, debugging, hardware validation, and system-level performance verification.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Support development schedules, technical planning, risk mitigation, and status reporting.
  • Work within both Windows and Linux environments to support hardware DevOps and test infrastructure.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate with vendors to enhance test capabilities and system performance.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting integration and test activities for complex electronic systems, aerospace systems, or space payloads.
  • 5+ years of experience working with automated test environments, special test equipment, or system verification activities.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting FPGA development, implementation, validation, or troubleshooting activities.
  • 5+ years of experience with Xilinx UltraScale or UltraScale+ FPGA devices.
  • 5+ years of experience using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog for RTL development.
  • 3+ years of experience with high-speed digital interfaces including JESD204B, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, SerDes, or comparable technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience with Xilinx Vivado tools including synthesis, implementation, timing closure, and debugging.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience supporting high-reliability spacecraft, satellite, or space payload programs.
  • Experience with Failure Review Boards (FRB), corrective action systems, and failure investigations.
  • Experience supporting engineering lifecycle reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PSA.
  • Experience with SPI interfaces, JTAG debugging, and digital I/O systems.
  • Familiarity with FMC mezzanine card interfaces (VITA 57).
  • Strong understanding of Hardware DevOps practices and automated test infrastructures.
  • Experience leading integration and test teams throughout the full development lifecycle.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success influencing technical decisions and aligning teams around complex engineering solutions.
  • Interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve engineering efficiency, testing, automation, and innovation.
  • Experience working with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience utilizing laboratory test equipment for hardware verification and troubleshooting.

  • Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site.
  • Work Environment: Advanced aerospace and defense engineering environment supporting spacecraft payload development, integration, automated testing, and national security programs.
